This Privacy Policy describes how CHIPR LUX ("CHIPR LUX," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit chiprlux.com (the "Site"), use our instant estimate tool, request an estimate, or receive our permanent roofline lighting services. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly. When you use our instant estimate tool, estimate form, contact form, or call or text us, we may collect:

  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Street address of the property to be serviced
  • Message content and any project details you share with us

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring URLs, and approximate location derived from IP address. Information from service delivery. If you become a customer, we collect information needed to schedule, perform, invoice, and warranty your installation — such as appointment details, roofline measurements, project photos, and payment records.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • Prepare and deliver your lighting estimate and night render
  • Respond to your inquiries and communicate about your project
  • Schedule and perform confirmation visits and installations
  • Process payments and, where applicable, connect you with financing options
  • Provide warranty service and customer support
  • Send service-related communications (appointment confirmations, reminders, follow-ups)
  • Improve our Site, estimate tool, and services
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not use your information for unrelated third-party marketing, and we do not sell your personal information.

By submitting an estimate request or contact form on this Site and providing your phone number, you consent to receive text messages (SMS) from CHIPR LUX regarding your estimate, appointment scheduling, and lighting project. Message frequency varies based on your project activity.

  • Opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you reply STOP, we will send one final message confirming your opt-out and will not send further texts unless you re-subscribe.
  • Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us using the details in Contact Us below.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase. You may contact us by phone or email instead.

No third-party marketing use of SMS consent: Your phone number and SMS opt-in consent will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are shared only with vendors that help us deliver messages to you (such as our messaging platform), and only for that purpose.

4. Home Address & Satellite Imagery

When you submit your street address through our estimate tool, we use publicly available satellite, aerial, and street-level imagery from third-party mapping providers to measure your roofline and generate a lighting estimate. This process may involve:

  • Retrieving imagery of your property address from third-party mapping providers
  • Generating a visual mockup ("night render") of permanent roofline lighting on your home using that imagery
  • Storing your address, measurements, and estimate data to prepare, schedule, and fulfill your project

We do not sell or share your address or home imagery with third parties for marketing purposes, and we retain imagery-derived data only as long as needed for your estimate and any resulting project.

5. Cookies & Analytics

The Site may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site functioning correctly, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. We may use analytics services that collect aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some Site features.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share personal information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. With vendors who perform services on our behalf — including our field service management and CRM platform (such as Jobber), scheduling and dispatch tools, messaging and email providers, mapping/imagery providers, payment processors, and website hosting/analytics providers. These providers may access personal information only to perform services for us and are obligated to protect it.
  • Financing partners. If you choose to pursue financing, with the financing provider you select, at your direction.
  • Legal requirements. When required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CHIPR LUX, our customers, or others.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the successor to honor this policy or notify you of changes.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy: estimate and inquiry data for as long as needed to serve your request; customer and project records for the duration of the customer relationship and warranty period; and financial records as required by tax and accounting law. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

8. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information — including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), access controls limiting data to personnel who need it, and reputable third-party platforms with their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws (including U.S. state privacy laws such as the Utah Consumer Privacy Act) to:
