How to prepare before installation day

Contact the team before installation if you want to change a section, move the control box, or add a separate run. Changes discovered on install day may affect scope and price.

Make access straightforward

Clear vehicle access and gates around the work area. Move objects that block the crew’s path or the agreed roofline sections. If a side yard is gated, unlock it or arrange access before the crew arrives. Keep children and pets away from ladders, tools, wiring, and the active work area.

Share property constraints early

Tell the team about locked areas, access limitations, recent roof work, planned repainting, or other contractors working near the installation. Roof work and renovations matter after installation too. Unauthorized removal or reinstallation can affect warranty coverage, so coordinate future work with CHIPR LUX.

Plan for the app handoff

Have the phone or device you plan to use for the CHIPR LUX app available. Decide who should learn the controls, and allow time for the handoff rather than leaving immediately when the physical installation is complete. The goal is not only mounted lights, but a tested system you can operate.

The six-step CHIPR LUX process

Step 1: Request an assessment

The project starts with your property and goals. Tell the team which roofline areas matter most, whether you want everyday warm white, holiday color, game-day scenes, or a combination. You can review the available roofline lighting solutions before the assessment.

Step 2: Complete measurements

Your project consultant walks the home and measures the roofline. This is important because project pricing is based on measured linear footage and complexity, not simply the home’s square footage. Peaks, separate runs, jumps, discontinuations, and access can all change the installation scope.

Step 3: Review the measured invoice

The measured project price and scope are presented for your review before anything is booked. Confirm the roofline sections, track color, wiring route, power supply and control-box location, included materials, and any removal or access work before approving the project.

Step 4: Reserve the installation date

After the scope is approved, reserve a date with approved financing or a 50% deposit. Financing is subject to credit approval and promotional terms. If weather or unsafe conditions affect the schedule, the team will coordinate a new date.

Step 5: Professional installation

CHIPR LUX installers fit the powder-coated 6063 aluminum track, RGBW lights, wiring, power supply, and included control hub to the approved roofline. Timing varies with roofline size, access, and complexity, so a simple one-story run and a multi-peak home should not be assumed to take the same amount of time.

Step 6: App handoff and support

After installation, the team connects the CHIPR LUX app and walks you through color control, independent zones, Scenes, and scheduling. Ask questions while the crew is present, including how to return to the dedicated 3000K white channel, how to change a zone, and whom to contact if you need support later.
